My son wears a youth L so I purchased the adult S. It fit with room to grow into it, until we washed it. It shrank so much he couldn’t wear it. Since it was washed we were not permitted to return it. I even asked if a discount could be provided and was told no. So I paid full price to get him size adult M. They were big but figured they would shrink to fit. They did not. The material isn’t the same as the same shirt in the adult S. So now we have adult S that is way too small and adult M that is way too big and neither fits him.

I always know the shirt is good quality and great graphics.

Haven't had a midweight so far, but honestly the heavyweigts are VG's best shirts in quality and fit. Slightly oversized (longer).
Go one down and you should be good.
