Violent Gentlemen honor the unwritten rule of hard-fought battles on the ice to the handshakes at the end of a series - in the end, we celebrate the sport of hockey above all else, regardless of the outcome of the game. Forged from steel and bound by a code: respect. It runs deep and courses through our veins. Hard Work Prevails. Blood and Sweat conquer all.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Established in 2011, we started the Violent Gentlemen Clothing Company (Hockey Club) with the intention of creating the products we felt the hockey community was missing; timeless, yet topical hockey apparel and accessories built for all fans and players, regardless of what team you cheer for.

We have come a long way from starting out as a bunch of hockey fans selling t-shirts outside the Honda Center arena, but it is safe to say Violent Gentlemen (also known as VG or VGHC) has become a staple in the hockey world. We could not have grown this clothing company to the size it is now without the fans & the players who make up the VGHC family. We're a clothing company built by hockey fans for hockey fans and players built on the foundation of tradition and respect the sport of hockey created.

WHY WE DO IT

We are here to be a pillar of the hockey community. To create a clothing brand that fans all over the world can be proud to have helped build themselves. Our daily mission involves making things that enhance this community's day-to-day from products to events to digital platforms where we connect.

THE VGHC FAMILY

At Violent Gentlemen the tradition of hard work and respect is incorporated in every aspect of our lives, going beyond the doors of a hockey rink. One of our founders, Brian, is a hockey fan, hockey dad, and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a private gym at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. This is the inspiration behind our BJJ line. Hammer, our other founder is a hockey fan and used to tour the road with metal and punk bands. His time on the road in the music world is the inspiration behind our music collaborations with bands ranging from legendary punks like Rancid to label companies like Pure Noise Records and Metal Blade Records, but even all the way to country gents like Dierks Bentley and Darius Rucker.

However, we're normal people like you and enjoy other parts of life beyond the rink, gym mats, and what music we have blasting in our warehouse or car. We’re also always looking for the best cup of coffee wherever we are, and we even started making our own with our Coffee Club. When we're out and about, don't be surprised to find us enjoying a cup of coffee with our friends over at Thunderking or ordering one of every food item on the menu at La Nova Pizza in Buffalo, NY (or any restaurant in our rotation).

As we continue to grow beyond the doors of the hockey rink, we find ourselves exploring new avenues such as signing on new athletes like our bud, Mike Vallely, throwing some pretty wild events, hitting the golf course and much more. WHERE IT'S GOING

You can’t help but notice that you will find VG gear in adult league locker rooms, on stage at your local venue as well as in NHL players' closets. However, we know we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Recently we have signed contracts with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), and American Hockey League (AHL) to hold official apparel licenses. Along with this we’re local license holders with multiple NHL clubs and growing. As we continue to dive into these hockey markets, our code remains the same. A code that is built on tradition and respect hockey created with an appreciation for design, and functionality.

VGHC and the AHL have partnered together to work on some amazing designs.

For those who have joined us on our journey, thank you. We couldn’t have grown to where we are today, to achieve this and become a worldwide hockey clothing company (hockey club) made up of the best fans on the planet without you.
